Release Strategy

HELIO is being deployed following a service-oriented architecture – this this basically means that capabilities that are required are split into a number of separate services. This is described in the HELIO Concepts Document and outlined on the Implementation page.

The HELIO infrastructure is being introduced progressivly as described in the HELIO Release Strategy. The first release (R1) of HELIO was at the end on January 2010; the second relese (R2) is cheduled for the end of May 2010.

The capabilities of HELIO will steadily increase as the services are brought on-line and the different databases are populated.
